Plate of the Day!

A couple of weeks ago, I met friends at Hank Oyster Bar for brunch. My friend Jess had been there before and raved about the the food.  I have to agree and it lived up to the high expectations that I developed based on the things that I had heard.  The decor and atmosphere was great. It was relaxed and fun, I especially liked the gold fish crackers on the table. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable about the food and oysters. I was obsessed with my large dish, Crabcake Eggs Benedict ($14). It was so good. My friends and boyfriend were jealous of my plate and stated it was the plate of the day.  I wish I had two stomachs so that I could kept eating another order, esp. after my brunchmates had ordered three rounds of oysters prior to our large dish. I am not a big fan of oysters, or at least oyster stew, but with the horseradish (i love horseradish) and cocktail sauce it was good.  We also shared a small plate of fries and mac&cheese. The whole brunch was gluttonous and a epicurean's dream, especially since I imbibed a mimosa and Aaron's sake bloody mary.  Must try Hanks for dinner, but I will definitely be back for brunch so that I can eat the Crabcake Eggs Benedict again.
