Under the tree

I don't want to be one of those young women (mostly teens - kudos kiddos, don't spend it all in one place!) who show off their latest purchases via the internets, but I did want to share my three favorite presents because they brought me great joy this Christmas.
1.) Snow boots!
Perfect for days like this! I have been wanting moon boots, like this. And I LOVE down. I imagine that I look like a charred marshmallow from head to toe. But, they feel like slippers that I can wear outside - MY DREAM!

2.) Oink, Oink!
I love my little pig cutting board that I plan to use as a charcuterie board. Isn't s/he cute? Thanks, Sis!

I love cheese and meats, so I plan to be using this bad boy. Plus, I hope to have more dinner parties in 2011, so this will help me become the the perfect hostess with the mostess.

                 3. )Mmm pretzel!

My sister did it again! She bought me this adorable tote via we heart philly . com. Apparently, she picked this up at the Christmas Village at Dilworth Plaza on the west side of City Hall Philadelphia. It reminds me of the DC's Holiday Market, which I sadly missed this year. I am excited to tote around this bad boy!

This year, I did all of my shopping last minute so I spent most of week prior to the holiday/vacation shopping! I didn't mind b/c I enjoy shopping. If it were a sport, than I would probably be an olympic medalist.  Nothing, but gold baby! Gold!

Haha, but seriously, the best gift was spending time with my family. I had a great week at home.  I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays!

my recent obsessions

Robyn - Body Talk pt. 1 & pt. 2

Visible Friend Necklace - I like to call this friend, robo girl :)
Over 200 dollars is excessive, esp. if there are no diamonds, pearls or jewels involved, but I am very amused by this wacky necklace.

Expensive scarves, like the Two-Tone Eternity Scarf
I should really not be thinking of lambswool on 80 degree days!

Diamond Tufted Headboard - I've been obsessed with this headboard since last winter. I think that I just need to suck it up and purchase it already, but boy that would hurt my bank account. I love it thought! Speaking of beds, time to sleep! Zzz!

Enjoy

I was so lazy this weekend. My fun Saturday night activity was looking at cool fashion and shopping website. Do they call not buying clothes on clothing websites - window shopping? I don't know, but thats what I doing.

Here are a couple of my fun finds:
I totally think that my friend Laurinda should sell her jewelry on this website. If I were still creative (which died when I started working at a non-profit) I would totally sell things on this website.

I am totally going to use this website for my future gift purchases.
I wish I felt as fashionable as these ladies. I loved seeing the fashion combinations. It is very inspirational, especially as I think about ways to wear my new brown boots. But, one of the blogs that I read daily is Fashion Is Poison, who is a girl in CA that documents her fashion finds and outfits. Gotta love it.
