blond moment

Recently, I was visiting my parents in PA. One day, we got on the topic of the origins of word,  RSVP. Is it a word? I guess not, because it stands for a French phrase, "répondez, s'il vous plaît"? Yeah, I didn't know that. I don't think I have ever thought to think about the origins of the phrase/word. That alone should have made me feel stupid, but then I continue on and say, "isn't that Spanish, not French." Yes, I apparently cannot tell you the difference between French and Spanish. Pretty humiliating.  I need to give up speaking romance languages. I should actually give up speaking, in general. 

Now, I should leave you with a real blond quote from the movie, Clueless: 

Cher: So like, right now for example. The Haitians need to come to America. But some people are all, "What about the strain on our resources?" Well it's like when I had this garden party for my father's birthday, right? I put R.S.V.P. 'cause it was a sit-down dinner. But some people came that like did not R.S.V.P.
