Movie time:

There is nothing good on Tv and the movie blockbusters don't look that good. I did enjoy Star Trek, mostly because Chris Pine is so good looking. But, I did see this preview for the new movie, 500 days of Summer. I think that I will love this movie.

I also believe that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is turning into the new Heath Ledger. He is attractive and a good actor, who been choosing interesting movie roles, similar to Leger. I miss Health. I doubt Gordon-Levitt is a signer though. Crazy to think that both were in 10 Things I hate about you, which I love. Good stuff! I can't wait to see this new movie. I need something smart, artistic, and good w/ a kick-@ss soundtrack!

best news.ever.

I am obsessed with Little Gordon Ramsay, so thank you Mari for this link. I can't wait to see this little boy berate the cooks on Hell's Kitchen. I swear, I could watch these clips ALL DAY.

Last Nite

Last night was the Academy Awards (no sh*t, right?!), but I truly had low expectations for it and boy was I surprised. Hugh Jackman was HILARIOUS! That was probably one of the best opening numbers. ever. The best part was "the reader, I have not seen the reader..." So funny! I now understand why he was selected as the sexist man alive! Haha!

But the greatest acceptance speech goes to Kunio Kato, who received the best animated short for “La Maison en Petits Cubes.” Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto.

My only other thoughts about the Oscars were: long, no need for that tribute to the musical with Beyoncé (why were those other "stars" singing up there? It was pretty much the Beyoncé tribute), too many commercials for Coke, glad that Sean Penn won for Best Actor in "Milk" because he was amazing, and finally, yay for Slumdog Millionaire!

I would have more thoughts for this review, but I passed out at 11:00 p.m. I am so old!

Funny:

Editing and voice overs.

I think good editing and out of place voice overs is the reason why I watch trashy/reality TV shows. It is hilarious! I thought I would share these two clips that I saw recently. The editing cracks me up!!

I don't really think Entourage is that funny. Maybe b/c I don't have male genitalia. But, you will never have to watch it again after this clip. Hilarious!

Hey Keith, did you ever think it is you and not me? I typically like Keith Olbermann, but he has been bothering me ever since he told the ladies at the View that he didn't vote this year. Hello? Really? You have no right to ever complain again. Respect -10. But, this is hilarious:

Thanks, 23/6! And yes, I agree with Keith's comments on Prop 8.

I think this was meant to be opened yesterday...

This is my fortune cookie that I received yesterday, but opened today. I think this fortune cookie knew that today is the beginning of a new era.

SNL Skits

So last night, Sarah Palin was on SNL. Nothing she does will ever satisfy me. I look forward to November 4th, when she returns to Alaska.

I thought the weekend update skit was better and funnier than the opening skit with Tina Fey. Don't get me wrong- Tina is hilarious, but the rap was funnier. Also, maybe it is because I don't watch 30 Rock, but Alec Baldwin does nothing for me. I didn't think he added to the skit, but maybe it was "funnier" due to something on 30 Rock . I also don't agree with people saying to her "oh, Sarah you are hotter in person." I don't think hotness does anything for the presidency (granted, Obama is a looker). But, I digress...

Last night's clips:

That moose deserves an Emmy!

As you can see Sarah did nothing but stand around in her black and red pant suits, and read the prompter, just like on the campaign trail! She did not add anything at all unlike, a new report that I heard earlier about Sarah being "hilarious and jabbing back at Tina." I didn't see any jabs did you? Lame...

Now, it is Joe's turn! I think he should do a skit about JOE the Plumber!

Hilarious!

This is so funny: http://www.palinaspresident.us/

Okay, back to my vacation...

UPDATE: Apparently, Sarah Palin will be on SNL tonight, October 19, 2008. I hope she cancels to help the economic crisis like John McCain during Letterman.

I <3 Lists

Last Saturday, I watched "No Reservations" for the second time and decide that Aaron Eckhart is on my list of top leading men. Sidenote: I can't believe he is mormon! I swear everyone in Hollywood is either mormon or a scientologist. Where are the normal people that have trouble with alcoholism or substance abuse? Oh well...

In honor of High Fidelity, I shall share my TOP 5: Leading men.
Aaron, if I meet any of these people, than I think I have the right to cheat on you.

1. Mark Darcy...err Colin Firth
1.5 Jack McCoy...err Sam Waterston
2. John Cusack
Sidenote: "I once loved a girl who almost loved me, but not as much as she loved John Cusack. Under certain circumstances, this would have been fine; Cusack is relatively good-looking, he seems like a pretty cool guy (he likes the Clash and the Who, at least), and he undoubtedly has millions of bones in the bank. If Cusack and I were competing for the same woman, I could easily accept losing. However, I don't really feel like John and I were "competing" for the girl I'm referring to, inasmuch as her relationship to Cusack was confined to watching him as a two-dimensional projection, pretending to be characters who don't actually exist. Now, there was a time when I would have thought that detachment would have given me a huge advantage over Johnny C., inasmuch as my relationship with this woman included things like "talking on the phone" and "nuzzling under umbrellas" and "eating pancakes." However, I have come to realize that I perceived this competition completely backward; it was definitely an unfair battle, but not in my favor. It was unfair in Cusack's favor. I never had a chance.

It appears that countless women born between the years of 1965 and 1978 are in love with John Cusack. I cannot fathom how he isn't the number-one box-office star in America, because every straight girl I know would sell her soul to share a milkshake with that motherfucker. For upwardly mobile women in their twenties and thirties, John Cusack is the neo-Elvis. But here's what none of these upwardly mobile women seem to realize: They don't love John Cusack. They love Lloyd Dobler. When they see Mr. Cusack, they are still seeing the optimistic, charmingly loquacious teenager he played in Say Anything, a movie that came out more than a decade ago. That's the guy they think he is; when Cusack played Eddie Thomas in America's Sweethearts or the sensitive hit man in Grosse Pointe Blank, all his female fans knew he was only acting…but they assume when the camera stopped rolling, he went back to his genuine self…which was someone like Lloyd Dobler…which was, in fact, someone who is Lloyd Dobler, and someone who continues to have a storybook romance with Diane Court (or with Ione Skye, depending on how you look at it). And these upwardly mobile women are not alone. We all convince ourselves of things like this—not necessarily about Say Anything, but about any fictionalized portrayals of romance that happen to hit us in the right place, at the right time. This is why I will never be completely satisfied by a woman, and this is why the kind of woman I tend to find attractive will never be satisfied by me. We will both measure our relationship against the prospect of fake love." This is Emo, Chuck Klosterman

2.5 Robert Downey Jr. (Yum!)
3. Johnny Depp (I think he is on everyone's list)
3.5 Christian Bale (I have loved him since he played Laurie in Little Women)
4. Health Ledger (I didn't say all had to be alive...oh, how I miss you.)
4.5 Edward Norton (According to Mari, he speaks Japanese!)
5. Aaron Eckhart

Cute Overload Moment:

My newest obsession for cuteness is Yes We Can (hold babies)

This is such a cute idea for a blog b/c everyone loves babies (esp. if you don't have to care for them) and all politicians kiss babies (endless posts). All of the children on this blog seem really happy to meet Obama, unlike Bush.

The caption for this photo is "Your skin is just so soft…" but, I think the baby is saying "you better fix the high cost of college tuition or else I will smack you (harder)!" Haha.

Babies + Obama = Cute! Babies + Biden = kind of cute. Babies + McCain = Circle of life or diapers.

An entry on cuteness must conclude with a photo of my pup (who is not a puppy, but not yet a dog- Thanks Britney!):
Mmm gators...

Tonight

Obama won the debate tonight. It is quite obvious that both candidates can't stand each other. But, McCain was just childish with "that one" comment. Hey boys, how old are you again? McCain is 72.

Daily show always does a great job reporting on the Vice Presidential Debates. My fav. part of this video is 2:40. "Does Governor Palin support the ocean paying for its own rape kits?

Today...

Gordon opened the freezer! He often opens the freezer, but this time it contained our practical joke!

Mari and I may have eaten all of the ice cream sandwiches, but he got to eat a seven course meal. Oh well... it was hilarious to hear "Oh yes, there is a ice cream sandwich...wait, why is there a rubber band ball inside?!?!!" He found the note later.

interesting....

Maybe Microsoft is reading my blog, but those commercials with Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Gates got pulled. I love you guys, but separately. Sidenote: I can't believe Seinfeld got 10 million to do these commercials. Spend the money on charity b/c neither of you need it.
I doubt Microsoft reads my blog because I don't think my boyfriend does.

I enjoyed last night's project runway (granted this season has been a bore). I must say I am slowly becoming a fan of Jerrell. I used to dislike him but his designs have become (slowly) sophisticated and I loved last night's outfit. "She's awkward and androgenous...like me!" His bitchy comments have now become endearing. Now if only they could have kicked out Joe AND Suede. Oh well...
  • My friend Amanda pointed out to me potential model drama when she was viewing the Bryant Park Collection. She has a better eye than me - but click on the link to see the proposed theories of why Karalyn is not with Leanne. Warning: It might ruin things for you, if you like to be surprised. But, I think there will be a walk-off soon...I predict the show will be between Leanne aka leanima, Korto (the winner), and Jerrell, who likes to wear silly hats.
Apparently, Tea 'healthier' drink than water. It is a good think I drink so much tea instead of coffee, but not today (I need a high-dose of caffeine).

PR

Check out the collections from Project Runway. http://projectrungay.blogspot.com/2008/09/bryant-park-collections.html I don't know who the decoys are but, Korto and Leanne should be one of the three. Suede and Joe should not be there! I am rooting for Korto, but I would not be disappointed if Leanne wins b/c her designs are awesome. Go Korto!!!

p.s. I can't believe J.Lo dropped out! I would be rockin a bedazzled set of crutches if I were her. Hurt foot, my A$$. Oh well, make it work!

Question

Could someone explain to me the new Microsoft commercials with Jerry Seinfeld? Is it supposed to be funny? Am I suppose to want to buy a Microsoft product? I just want to eat a Churro. mmmm!

Wednesday, September 3, 2008

Oh shit, this is funny

Nicely done, Daily Show. Bravo!
